Spring Break has come to an end and we have returned safely back to school. We are now in the final stretch, one of the most exciting times of the year for many students. Lincoln is having the Junior/Senior Prom on April 29th, AP exams are given at the beginning of May, Grad Bash at Disney World is held on May 5th, graduation is at the Civic Center on May 25th, and the last day of school is on May 26. .
Springtime for the Arts
On April 13th from 3 to 4 after school, Lincoln had a Spring Festival of the Arts located in the front courtyard. There were performances of guitar, piano, drums, and also a scene from The Curious Savage performed by the Drama Club. The play will be presented again on Thursday, April 20th and Friday, April 21st at 7pm, and Saturday, April 22nd at 2pm and 7pm. Admissions are $5 for students and $7 for Adults.
Black History Brain Bowl
In March, Lincoln’s Black History Brain Bowl team traveled to Tampa and returned state champions. (l to r) Aja P., Darian H., Camielle L., Ashley C., Tana H., Darius H., and Carley W. All members of the team will receive a scholarship to a Florida college or university. The team is sponsored by teacher Yusuf Shakir and assisted by former Lincoln teacher Levon Terrell and Tallahassee Police Department’s Audrey Smith.
