"143" By Keeley D. The last time I saw her she was getting on a ship, I walked up to her slowly and kissed her gently on the lips. And from and up until that moment we shared eternal delight, Whispered you are my thoughts in my morning and my night. From letters in the mail and calls on the phone, Never did I think she would leave me alone. I went up to the mailman and he had a letter addressed to me, And on the front of the envelope it said U.S. Navy. I thought long and hard what could this be, Opened the letter held my breath and it said dear baby. Let out my sigh and read the rest of the letter, To a part that said I hope you are doing better. And I thought about how much I missed her as I read more, Then got to a part that said if you love me come to the door. As I went to the door there was my baby just like she left, Gave me kisses and hugs as she lay on my shoulder and wept. As I wise person once said love is blind, But real love is not in the eyes its in body, soul and mind, So if you feel you have true love here is the key, Always remember to tell your true love 143.
